I am one of those lucky people who have lived in village town and cities.
I have tasted every culinary and gone through a lot of cultural changes from time to time and have seen how nature has responded to changes in human culture and habits.
I have experienced how metro cities are suffering from water and air crisis resulting in multiple health issues.
As everyone knows India is a country of villages and villages are concerned with production and preservation of grain plants and a lot of animal species. Previously every village had a well and a pond to preserve water, a lot of farming land to produce organic foods, a fruit garden and a lot of trees which provides fruits as well as woods for furniture and fuel and help in maintaining the temperature and purification of air, cattle’s which provide milk, dungs for fuel and compost and the whole arrangement was home for a lot of natural pollinators, birds and tiny species.
Thus, there was a natural environmental cycle. Of course, there were some flaws but the solution was correction, facilitation not vanishment of the whole system. But urbanization, industrialization, modernization has made some challenging changes for habitant of villages, which is very much related to environmental changes. Years ago, when owing farming lands was no less than a pride, today a farmer is seen in most compromising state.
As people were heading towards more comfortable life they were compromising with the availability of pure air and water, the most important two things in the life. Firstly they cut trees filled ponds and wells, minimized farming ignored dying species like bird insects fishes etc. made industries, multi-story buildings, malls and then go on a hunt of most exclusive air purifier plants and water purifier, which has unfortunately made some irreversible damages to the whole environment. Well things can’t be revived but could be corrected to make some ease.
Indeed, if we are concerned about our environment. We should invest some of our time and effort in repair of the damage to our surroundings as if everyone of us give only some percent it will collectively make a difference. So here are some easy tips you may go for that.
1.Whatever land you have do planting.
2.Try to grow your own organic vegetables and herbs.
3.Do water harvesting.
4.Install bird feeders.
5.Diy small ponds and breed fishes.
6.most importantly share your experience with friends, family and neighbours and don’t hesitate to offer a helping hand to others.
When you will be in you will feel it’s the most beautiful experience to revive your mother earth and get some amazing return gifts.
